A
recently-published
collaboration
between our lab and scientists around the world finds that
more talkative parents are associated with more talkative children; no effect of
socioeconomic status on children's talk. The study, published in PNAS, analyzed
day-long recordings from 1,001 children from 6 continents!
Dr. Bergelson was awarded the Early Career Award by the Federation of
Associations in Behavioral and Brain Sciences for her work in early language
development and for the lab's focus on science communication. Congratulations,
Dr. B!
